Summary

Adding proper lighting at entry points makes a big difference for safety and curb appeal. This home needed a new exterior fixture by the front door, wired to work with the existing porch light for better coverage and convenience.

The Work

Accessed the attic to extend the porch light circuit
Routed new wiring through the wall cavity, cutting a precise opening for a new weatherproof box
Installed and wired the customer’s fixture, then sealed and tested all connections
Cleaned up the work area after installation

The Outcome

Both fixtures now operate together, giving the entryway balanced lighting. The upgrade blends seamlessly with the home’s exterior, making it safer to come and go after dark.
